ANXIETY – a tragedy in three acts by Jakob Jakobsen

Imagine standing in the supermarket and suddenly being unable to feel the limits of your body. Or that a pixie is telling you to die. These are some of the extreme situations that people suffering from morbid anxiety experience. Their experiences get a voice in Jakob Jakobsen’s tragedy ANXIETY – a tragedy in three acts.

Saturday the 18th of September and Sunday the 26th of September at 4 PM you again have the opportunity to experience Jakob Jakobsen’s tragedy in the concrete ring at Søndre Havn as part of Hummings. The event is free and for everybody. Remember, the entry is from Søndre Molevej: https://goo.gl/maps/jbCBfkcAC4RzdiKc9

Anxiety is part of everyday life even if we try to separate, suppress or “fix” it. But in Jakob Jakobsen’s tragedy, very real experiences with anxiety get a voice through the performer Monia Sander. The music in the performance is composed by Jesper Siberg.

When the performance is not on, you can still experience the scenography’s bright loud letters A-N-G-S-T as a mural in the concrete rotunda. You can also take the manuscript with you as you leave. It is the small book located in a little box by the entry.

This event is free and it does not require a ticket to attend.
